Key Projects

Petroflow/WorleyParsons/NETCO, Lagos, Nigeria – EGINA FPSO Project
As the Lead Piping Designer for two of the eighteen topside modules on the TOTAL EGINA FPSO vessel I have been coordinating the production of PDMS modelling for the layout of two GE 3-stage Turbo Compressors and ancillary equipment. With a team of ten designers we produced piping and equipment layouts for the three deck levels comprising gas suction scrubbers, heat exchangers, Glycol regeneration skids, and a gas fiscal metering unit.

CMES Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria
I was coordinating the modification of piping G.A.s and details at brownfield sites in accordance with the Facilities Information Management Project for Chevron Nigeria Ltd.
The information was gathered from visits to various offshore and swamp locations including Okan Production Platform, Opuekeba Production Platform, and Escravos Tank Farm.

Wellkind Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria
I was engaged to head a project to produce a report of gas flaring reduction, and monitoring recommendations, for the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in Abuja. During this project I was supervising and advising the local staff on the compilation of information gathered from the DPR, the operators, and site inspection visits with regard to current flare gas volume and composition, types of metering employed, and any proposed plans for future gas usage.

Cakasa Fluor Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria
Supervising, checking, and logging the production of piping G.A.s and isometrics by 8 national draughtsmen on the Metegrity Project for Chevron Nigeria Ltd. This project was to include all the major platforms, located both onshore and offshore, the purpose being the recording and evaluation of weld conditions in relation to projected materials integrity.

Addax Petroleum Corporation, Lagos, Nigeria
Overseeing and advising on piping design and engineering aspects for several wellhead platforms located offshore from Calabar. Review of the design for an upgraded manifold skid and associated piping for the Adanga Production Platform Redevelopment Project. This included site surveying and marking of required demolition piping and equipment, and tagging of future piping tie-in locations. Design of “intelligent pigging” trap systems for monitoring pipeline integrity at the adjacent riser platform.

Euroflow Designs Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria
I conducted a survey of wellhead platforms for as-built status at Funiwa and North Apoi locations for Chevron Nigeria Ltd. prior to producing piping models, general arrangements, and isometrics for the new gas-lift project using Bentley AutoPlant 2004. This required the participation in several HAZOP meetings.

Chevron Nigeria Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria
I was involved in surveying and designing / draughting 3D piping models, piping general arrangements, and isometrics together with MTOs for numerous projects. These include a crude oil dehydration and metering expansion project (ETEP), and a ‘wash tank’ crude oil separation system at Escravos Tank Farm. Other projects include a new riser platform at Meji, modification of the pigging systems at Abiteye and Makaraba to facilitate intelligent pigging monitoring operations, addition of a new pig launcher at Malu PP, and a piping upgrade project at Meren WIP.

Roche Chemicals, Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland
Worked on site on a proposal to establish the extent of disinvestment and replacement of piping and equipment for the revamp of an existing pharmaceutical plant. Produced plant layout and piping studies for bulk M.T.O. and subsequent quotation purposes using PDMS for modeling.

Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd., Reading, Berks - Pertamina, EXOR-1 Project, Balongan, Indonesia
Design of piping arrangement for reciprocating compressors in hydrogen supply unit. Checking of main air blower area and piperacks in RCC unit (Residue Cat. Cracker).

Total Oil Marine, St. Fergus, Scotland
Working on gas receiving facility project (Bruce Field). Piping G.A. production and checking, checking CAD isometrics, and co-ordinating the internal control of isometrics. Backdraughting of CAD isometrics using Intergraph Microstation.
