Tobermory Preliminary Flow Assurance Study

Client: Total E&P UK Ltd

Preliminary steady state analysis to evaluate the hydraulic requirement and stability of the pipeline sizes considered for the Tobermory development. Study also evaluated the feasibility of depressurising the pipeline to protect against hydrate formation.

CLOV Development

Client: Total E&P (Angola)

Providing Flow Assurance technical leadership for all Flow Assurance aspects of the CLOV development – a deepwater (1400m) FPSO development offshore Angola and with the following responsibilities:

Technical management of in-house team of engineers – responsible for study quality by reviewing all analysis to ensure and maintain technical credibility.

Defining design requirements and functional specification for SURF (sub-surface umbilical, riser and flowline) and SPS (sub-surface production system) components. Review of technical documents related to the design and specification of subsea production equipment including multiphase pumps.

Responsible for all flow assurance input to the definition and specification of all aspects of the development from well-completion to export lines and interfacing will all project groups including field operations, FPSO, commissioning, etc.

Dunbar OPPS Transient Analysis

Client: Total E&P (UK)

Study – Involved the development of a HYSYS dynamics model to perform base case simulation to be used for future work.

Dunbar Pipeline Arrival Pressure Reduction Study

Client: Total E&P (UK)

Performed a flow assurance and dynamic simulation analysis to assess the performance and operability of the Dunbar 16-inch multiphase pipeline following a reduction of the arrival pressure at Alwyn from 69 to 30 bara.

K5-F FEED

Client: Total E&P Nederland B.V.

Detailed flow assurance study performed for the subsea tie-back development;

Performed study to evaluate the fields impact on existing facilities specifically the impact of the chemical injection rates on blowdown and start-up surge volumes;

Performed Hydraulic capacity study for chemical injection line.

K5CU Flow Assurance Study

Client: Total E&P Nederland B.V.

Performed flow assurance assessment to evaluate the operability of the new export pipeline linking K5CU to K5A. The steady state aspect of study involved the definition of the preferred line size for steady state operation subject to the available export pressure. The transient analysis involves an assessment of the pipeline and receiving facilities response to transient operations such as shutdown, start-up. System operability i.e. slugging and hydrate management philosophy was also assessed.
